Information about the free take-back and proper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Electrical equipment must not be disposed of with household waste
In connection with the sale of electrical and electronic equipment, we are obliged to inform you of the following: All electrical equipment that can be used in private households is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that old electrical equipment must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old electrical equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.
Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. End users are required to dispose of old electrical equipment separately.
Used batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not enclosed by the old device, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old device without causing damage, must be removed before disposal and disposed of separately.
You are responsible for deleting any personal data from old devices before handing them in for disposal.
Return via municipal collection points
Private households can return old electrical equipment to the municipal collection points of their city or municipality. Please observe the information on separate collection, the removal of batteries, rechargeable batteries and removable lamps, as well as the deletion of personal data.
Free take-back of old electrical equipment
We are obliged under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act to take back old electrical equipment free of charge.
Return when purchasing a new device
When purchasing a new electrical or electronic device, you may return an old device of the same type that essentially performs the same functions as the new device free of charge.
Small devices up to 25 cm
Old devices with no external dimension larger than 25 cm can also be returned free of charge without purchasing a new device. The take-back is limited to three old devices per device type.
How the return works
Please contact us before returning old electrical equipment so that we can inform you of the appropriate return option. Depending on the device type, the return will take place via a suitable collection option within a reasonable distance or via a return method specified by us.

Special note on old lamps and light sources
Old lamps, such as LED lamps, energy-saving lamps or fluorescent tubes, must not be returned to us by parcel due to breakage and safety risks.
Please hand in old lamps only at suitable collection or take-back points. On request, we will inform you about a suitable return option within a reasonable distance.
Notes on batteries and rechargeable batteries
If old devices contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, please observe the special safety requirements. Damaged, deformed or overheated batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be reused and must be disposed of separately and properly via suitable collection points.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries may pose fire, explosion and environmental risks if damaged, short-circuited or disposed of improperly.
